ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
Building Hispanic communities through sustainable economic development projects

What Is Pathway of Hope?

Most Hispanic people live with limited financial resources due to a lack of education, skills, and experience. The Cantaso Foundation was created to help Hispanic families break out of poverty and learn skills that increase their future earnings. The Pathway of Hope is our Education program where we educate, empower, and provide individuals with what they need to achieve financial independence.

By changing the lives of the parents, we can create better living conditions for children and the community at large. We provide them with the potential to improve their personal and family economic conditions as well as the resources to achieve financial sufficiency.
Job and entrepreneurial training
Lack of skills and employment opportunities are major challenges for someone that wants to break out of intergenerational poverty, we offer job and entrepreneurial training.

With our help, people can participate in the job and entrepreneurial training that gives them the necessary skills and prepares them for the employment market.

A great example is Emma, a 30 year old woman who worked as a personal assistant. She took one of our entrepreneurial training courses and now runs a successful e-commerce fashion brand. Through our training, she learned how to compile inventories and use social media marketing to direct traffic to her eCommerce store.

Adult Education and Literacy Class
The ability to read and write is the first step to getting out of poverty. Through our economic empowerment program, we can help adults learn how to read and write.
Our adult education covers:
English classes: where we offer affordable online and in-person English language courses on weekdays and Saturdays. Students learn how to read, write, listen and join conversations using the English language.

Computer classes: we teach Hispanic immigrants how to use the computer and internet for their personal and business needs.

Economic empowerment is key!
Our economic empowerment approach includes:
  • Using The Cantaso Foundation resources to create new entrepreneurship opportunities for Hispanics living within and outside the U.S.
  • Collaborating with community-based businesses to provide economic empowerment programs that improve local GDP.
  • Moving people from poverty to better living standards through new skills and employment opportunities.
