Hi! My name is Maksim Zaslavskiy.

But you can call me Avi!
I was born in Western Ukraine but later moved with my family to New York in 1991 when I was 12 years old. I could say that I always knew I would be an entrepreneur right from my childhood. I always wanted to know how to make money and was interested in business, tech, and even cars. This passion plus the financial situation at home led me to start working with my siblings to support our family.
Growing up, I helped my elderly neighbors mow their lawns and also served in a Russian restaurant where I sold food. By 18, my interest in tech grew so much that I applied and became a computer consultant where I worked for 3 different banks for 3 years.

Working in a bank made me realize I still loved business. So I applied at Baruch College where I studied and graduated with an executive MS in finance, and I did this while working because I absolutely loved the experience. From there, I worked as a day trader and expanded my career into sales and marketing.

Sales and marketing changed my life. It opened my eyes to all the business opportunities that existed around me. Through sales and gorilla marketing I was able to sell impressive cars like the 1967 Mustang, 1957 BelAir, and 2005 H1 as the CEO/CMO of Atlas Auto.
It also helped me increase partnerships and donations by 25% for the nonprofit organizations I volunteered for.

I even started and co-owned an international advertising agency when the marketing guys I employed failed to deliver good results after getting hundreds of thousands from me. Through my entrepreneurial expertise, I was able to deliver powerful marketing messages that increased growth, customer loyalty, and profits.

As someone that thinks and goes about things differently, I've always had that innate ability to see possibilities in places people look down on.

The result?
I came up with the idea of creating the first real estate-backed cryptocurrency ReCoin in 2015. The blockchain idea was to provide sellers, buyers, agents, brokers, and attorneys a blockchain platform where all real estate-related transactions can be marketed, authenticated, and tracked.
My dream finally started becoming a reality when I was able to convince investors and real estate entrepreneurs to back me up and grow ReCoin from an abstract concept into a full-fledged company. Things were finally looking up and I was able to grow ReCoin into an international brand of over 200 global employees and also got financial backers for the project.
But something happened…
Because I strongly believed the ReCoin project would work, I did not advertise ReCoin the right way nor get the right lawyers to give me the best legal advice. This led to a legal case with the federal government. Although legal proof showed that only $17,000 was misused, the ReCoin project was shut down by the federal government due to changes in SEC's legal framework and I was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
My whole world crashed that day. I remember feeling angry and frustrated at myself. Angry because I did not hire lawyers to help me better understand the legal aspect of the niche I was venturing into. Depressed because "what the hell was I supposed to do with my life" while in prison. Those 18 months were a long struggle between quitting or not.
But I didn't…
Instead, I saw prison as an opportunity to reshape my life. So I looked around and asked myself "what can I do to change lives when I leave this place?"

That thought evolved into the idea that birthed 101Lego. And as soon as I left prison, I became a business consultant and launched 101Lego to help businesses grow through strategic marketing. But more than growth, I also help business owners avoid the mistakes I made with my previous businesses. I give them sound financial and business advice that ensure they stay in the right direction at all times.
Today, I serve as a consultant to businesses in the pawn, consignment, and webuy niches. I believe these niches will grow into multi-billion dollar industries in the next 10-20 years due to the world's falling economy.

I'm passionate about helping entrepreneurs build and scale profitable businesses in these three niches through a practical framework - and I can do the same for you.

Come let's create magiс
